You need to have the chapter on Habit 3 (starts on page 146) read by Sunday, November 9th.. There are several things posted on the Quia calendar; make sure you look it over.
Here's your question for this week: What one thing could you do (that you aren't doing now) that if you did on a regular basis, would make a tremendous positive difference in your personal life?

One thing that could make a great positive difference in my life is if I just stopped getting on the computer so much. I spend a good portion of my time on sites such as facebook or myspace doing absolutely nothing productive with my time. If I spent that time working on school work, or simply reading a book, it would improve not only my grades, but also my attitude and outlook on life.
I believe that if I would do all my homework on the day it was assigned that it would positively influence my life. Currently, I do it the night before it is due unless it is a project that I start usually the weekend before it is due. I think if I got stuck in the habit of just getting my homework done the day it wa assigned, I would have a lto more freedom to do other things I enjoy on the weekends.
I could study if I didn't have pointless amounts of work and before you write me off as a whining teenager, I don't learn through constant repitition. When given the chance (and time) to study on my own for some odd reason my grades go up, but since I have to write an essay tonight, do 84 math questions, and outline a history chapter I'm not going to get a real chance to go over the information and get the basic 6 hours of sleep I need to survive.
Studying would be greatly benifical to my life and my GPA now if only I had the time...
I want to be more adventures and sports oriantated. Dirt bikeing, mountain climbing, street car raceing, kick-boxing, you name it, i want to do it. I want to enjoy the fruits of life, not wach them grow.
I would definately have to run more. I have not been able to run as much as I would like because of a leg injury. This would help me out a lot!
The one thing I think that I could do on a regular basis to make a positive difference in my personal life would probably to prioritize my main things i need to get done, for example not to procrastinate on school work, instead of going home after school and watching t.v. before my homework is done, i should go home and do my homework first then be able to relax and do the things i want to do. i think it will help a great deal because right now i put off my homework till late at night which makes me stay up really late on school nights trying to rush and do homework so i can go to bed, and if i where to get my homework out of the way when i got home i think i wouldn't be so tired at school because i wouldn't be up so late on school nights doing homework i procrastinated on.
I think I should not judge people as much as I do now, that would change a lot in my life. I usually find out a little while after I met someone that they are not as bad as I thought they were. It would save me a lot of energi and time of I could change that bad habit.
The one thing that I could do on a regular basis that would make a positive difference in my personal life would be to take the time out of my day to sit down and talk with my family. With all of my activities that I am involved in this year, it has been hard for me to find the time to spend a few moments with my parents and grandmother. I know if I took a few minutes out of each day to spend with them, our relationship would be much more positive and grow much stronger.
I could start running more than i have, which would get me into better shape so i would be happier
If I could, I would study every night, even if I don't have a quiz or test, which, in the end, would better prepare me for when we do have a quiz or test in a class.
If I did habit 3 and put first things first instead of procrastinating I would get a lot more done. If i did homework assignments when I found out about them instead of waiting until the night before it was due it would help me get things done and probably give me more free time beacause I would get homework out of the way.
If i helped others more it would probably make a bigger positive difference in my life. I would feel better and the people I helped might return the favor one day.
one thing that i already do but if i did on a more regular basis that would help me would be to smile more. if you smile more you can cheer someone up and make your day better and their day better.
The one thing that I do now that helps me, but I can do more of is smile. It also effects other people around me as well.
If I worked thirty-one hours a week... wait a minute, if I went to school five days a week... wait a minute, if I had a ton of homework to do... wait a minute, there's no time to do anything else. Maybe if, on a regular basis, I was allowed nap time, I would live longer.
having a more positive attitude would make a tremendous positive difference in my life.
Im kind of lazy when it comes to class. Almost everything is easy so I only do what is neccessary to get a good grade. If i really applied myself to my school work I probably would get higher grades.
When it comes to school I dont give all the effort I should. When I get home from school I tend to aviod getting my work done and often put assinments off till the last minute. If i didnt do this I would be much better and make better grades.
If I were to think about how other could misconceive what I say, it would positively affect my life. If I were to think about how others may perceive what I say, I could change how people see me, especially when it comes to first appearances. Also, it could possibly make it much easier for others to understand me.
I think there are a lot of things that I could do, that I'm not doing now, that would have a very positive influence on my life. But I think the one thing that would have the most influence on me would be if I had a daily planner and started keeping an agenda. I find my self always procrastinating or forgetting about assignments and I think if I had a planner I would be more proactive with my responsibilities.
One thing that I could do that I am not doing right for positive difference in life is a somewhat better work ethic and time management. I have been sort of lazy this year. Sometimes I either do my homework really late at night or at school. I should start making a schedule to organize my priorities before I don't get as much out of life as I desire. Getting good at these two things I want to get better at right now are crucial to success in the real world.
one thing that I could do that I am not doing now, that would make a positive difference in my personal life, is that I could be doing my homework right when I get home instead of procrastinating. In my personal life it wold give me more time after school.
A few things that I could do to make my personal life better, are that I could run more, eat a little healthier, and find a job.
I think that if I payed more attention in class, and applied myself more, it would effect my life positively. Right now, I often fall asleep during class, so if I can stay engaged and not catch up on sleep during class, it would make a huge positive difference in my life.
i think that having a positive additude when you wake up every morning could have a positive effect on your life, and could also help you be successful.
Well, i guess i could keep some sort of calendar or assignment spiral in order to keep track of everything i need to do. For example, last week i already forgot to do one of these blogs, and now thanks to my natural forgetfulness, i am going to get screwed for this grade.
I could make more time to spend with my family without any distractions and that would help my personal life a lot
If I was able to plan my schedule properly for my other 3-4 courses (Such as completing the homework daily), I would not have be reqired to haste through this assignment on a Sunday morning.
I would stop doing everything at the last minute. Ive had a lot of projects and papers due in classes that I haven't started on due this week.another thing I could be doing is thinking before I do spontaneous, if there's a way to stop being clumsy I need to do that. I eat too much candy too, but I could try to have self control.
One thing that I could do that would make a positive influence in my life would be prioritizing what I think is important and making a list of these things so that I could make sure that I accomplish them.
Something i could do that i dont do now to make a difference in my personal life is to no put people down. Making jokes of people can put down their self esteem which would in turn make them put other people down and here lies the chain reaction. Just having one person make a difference can help a lot of people.
it would probably pay more attention to people
One thing that i could do on a regualar basis that would make my life more efficent and easier would have a calender or agenda to organize my thoughts and tasks for the next day, week, and month
I would study more so that I could get better grades in school. That or I would try to get more organized, so I could stay up to date on all my assignments.
The one thing i could do that would make a positive difference in my personal life would be time management.Time management would help me save alot of time and priortize what needs to be accomplished and what doesnt. Time management would help in chores, school, family, & social settings.
I think that if I were to read more it would improve my vocabulary and help me write better.
One thing that I could do everyday that would help with my personal life is read. By reading I feel that I would have a better understanding of other people. If a problem occurs with somebody, and they turn to me, reading would help me walk them through that situation.
I would enrich my vocabulary. Most people my age are certainly not too worried about their knowledge of our language. But being more acquainted with new and different words can not only help me make a better impression to people in my personal life, but will also allow me to express myself with more ease.
If there is one thing I could do better on a regular basis to improve my life, it would be to manage my time better, so I could make better decisions about things.
The one thing I could do is a pretty obvious answer and that is spend more time on my school work. Although I make decent grades, if they were better than what they were, I'd be set with some of the colleges I am looking to get into. With the extra time put into studying, I would have better grades and what not which would make school easier, so my personal life would experience these benefits because I wouldn't have to wait until last minute to do everything, like what I'm doing with this blog.
Something I would do is probably study a bit more. I have pretty high grades but if i studied more then my grades would be even higher.
I would listen more to what people have to say and not interrupt them. I think it would make people feel like I really care about what they have to say and that they are important to me.
I think working out would improve my personal life. my confidence would be much higher if i put on some weight
i could put an end to my habit of procrastination.
I would take better advatage of every moment that i was able to spend with my family. you can never truly know when it will be your last momemt.
One thing that could make a difference in my personal life would be to have some form of a schedule. It would help manage my time better.
One thing that I could do is to have an optimistic outlook on things. I need to think of things that are going well in life rather thatn the negative things that are going on.
Set aside 30 minutes a day to drop everything I am doing and finish all my work for school and fill out applications for college
If I evaluated myself on a regular basis (i.e. look back on past actions or statements and change them) I think I could see a significant difference in how I live my life. I can objectively correct things that need to be changed I can see the things that I need to continue doing so that I can remain successful as a person.
one thing that i could do that would have a tremendous influence on my personal life is reading and studying harder and longer.if i can apply myself more than i am right now i caould have better grades and would have more options for college and my future. Also if i read more i would be able to broaden my vocabulary and learn more.
I would spend more time each day studying so I can be more prepared for school.
If there is one thing that i would like to do more to help out my personal life is study more. Studying more would reflect more in my grades and my parents wouldnt be on my back about my grades.
One thing I could do is study spanish 30 minuets more a day.
I think that one thing I could do on a regular basis to make a positive difference in my personal life would be to listen to others more. Be more perceptive of other peoples needs.
One thing that i can do is to be organized because if i become orginized then i would know when and where stuff is at or happening not panicing to find out where stuff is or when stuff is going to happen
If I kept track of everything I need to do, be it writing it down or putting forth more effort in remembering, I'd be a much more planned out person and ready to handle what comes my way!
i think if i got a job it would make a positive difference in my life. i think working for a paycheck would make me appreciate money more and spend it wiser.
Being more organized is something i could do that would make a difference in my life
I belive that the one thing that I could do better would be to listen to people more closely on a daily basis. I think that now i do not pay attention well enough when people such as teacher and parents are talking to me. If i improved that, I think i could become a better person.
If i could change one thing it would most definitely be to become more organized. I have papers all over my room and never write down my homework. If i changed those to aspects to a more organized process i would have a positive change in my life.
The one thing i could possibly do to make my life a more positive void would probably have to be seeing the love of my life everyday instead of like once a month.
I would like to study more and be more responsible with stuff like cleaning out my car and doing things around the house.
to be more responsible and organized
I can be more responsible in my discison making.
I think that if I stopped procrastinating it would make a big difference. Instead of waiting until the last minute and then having lots to do, I would be less stressed and have more free time.
